After 13 happy and productive years at the Basement, we have moved along the road and up to street level (and 1st and 2nd) to new premises at 17a Clerkenwell Green. With a small courtyard and plenty of light we are very pleased to join the rest of the world above ground.

Or do they? One of England's top five public schools has appointed AND after a three way pitch, to create a new Prospectus. Winchester College, arguably one of the top 5 public schools in the UK, commissioned AND to undertake brand strategy, messaging and design of a new Prospectus for the College. Winchester has parents of prospective pupils knocking at the door which begs the question - why do they need a prospectus. Having spent a number of days at the school talking with students, teachers, the Headmaster, matrons and housemasters we identified the key messages surrounding Winchester and those things that make it a unique place to educate intellectually ravenous students. Attracting the right kind of boy, the "Wykhemical mind" with a hunger for knowledge, in a homely, stimulating environment appears to be paramount and we aim, through the prospectus, to take parents and students alike on a journey that truly reflects this vision. Tonight, Dragon James Caan invested in Peel Engineering and the Peel 50 - the Smallest Car in the World. AND were commissioned by Peel Engineering to come up with a series of slogans and T shirt designs which launch for sale on their website, following the Dragon's Den exposure on BBC2 tonight. AND don't have the best track record for up-to-date news on our website but that is because we are busy with an array of interesting projects and always stoking irons in the fire. But, it has to be said times are exciting and very soon there will be more detailed updates on what we are up to .... but for starters it couldn't be more varied as currently we are working with a prestigious public school, a leading firm of IFAs, exciting developments in the hotel and leisure world, a sequence of high profile events in the publishing industry, an ambitious and growing web and search agency, a global indexing agency, rolling out a new brand for a chain of laser surgery clinics, not to mention our many long term clients with whom we work on a near daily basis. London's newest landmark hotel has just opened on Westminster Bridge boasting fine views over the Thames, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye and creating a stunning replacement on the site of the notorious former GLC building. As lead designers to the Park Plaza Group in the UK and across Europe, AND have been responsible for many elements for the hotel opening including identities and all associated collateral for its main restaurant and bar outlets, situated on the destination first floor. These are 1WB Brasserie/Lounge/Patisserie, Ichi Sushi & Sashimi Bar and the ultra modern Primo Bar.
We are pleased to say the summer has not quietened down as we have been very busy on a variety of projects. Park Plaza Westminster Bridge is on target to open in 2010 and the Topping out Ceremony takes place next week with Guest of Honour, Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. We are pleased to have worked on a number of items for this prestigious event.
We are also very happy to have recently won a contract to design and produce a review for August Equity, further evolving the recent brand development launched via the new website (www.augustequity.com). We also recently launched the new website for wind turbine designers and manufacturers, Evance (www.evancewind.com). We continue to work with the FTSE Group on their bi-monthly news publication (www.ftsefocus.com) as well as work on a new logo and publication for FTSE Custom, and a number of projects for Swiss Re and the PPA.
We have also, this month, launched major publications for international outsourcing consultants EquaTerra and the leading independent school James Allen's Girls School (JAGS).
We are currently talking about children's food stores, laser clinics, river cleansing, new hotels, independent schools and a Canadian eco park to name just a few of the projects on the horizon, so never a dull moment.
